I have the sobads and my buddy has the eBads, both with the ppf wood duck. Learning to lean in to the turns like a surfboard helps a ton with turning. Weight shift side to side is just as important as the tiller. Even in chop. Big water it’s best to point and shoot to a shoreline. We hunt Lake Michigan with them and cross some bays from the launch to the hunting spot. They handle some chop if you stay low and to the stern.

To reinforce scott, yes you absolutely need a sissy bar especially in open water. I'm 76 and have run a 16' jon with a 25hp mud motor for over 25 years. IN a narrow beam boat you are asking for trouble without one. Also standing while running in open water is dangerous in itself. You can't predict when the unseen submerged log,rock or what ever will give you a nasty scare. Doesn't matter how cool it looks to stand, one time of getting thrown out is all it takes.. Oh, and if you don't attach the kill lanyard you are really asking for it. ( Yes I am talking from experience). You need the grab handle option added to your Ebads. It makes big difference having something to hold on to besides just the tiller handle. I'm sure Brock could add that for you pretty quick. I have a Copperhead 18HP surface drive mud motor on my ebads and can hit the upper teens when fully loaded with hunting gear and my dog. White caps are not fun but I just take it a little slower and have never had a problem. Depending on the situation I've been able to keep on plane in about 4-5 " inches of water. Love my Ebads.

Summed up, it's proven that factory tubes pattern as well as aftermarket. It's been proven many times. And 1 shot determines nothing other than the POI. For a duck gun I would would have it shooting 60/40 high

Look into a combination of spoons and deep divers. It's alot easier with a fish finder because you want to make sure you're trolling just above them and not below. You cant go wrong with stingers spoons (I grew up fishing lake Erie trolling for walleye and steelhead, spoons are king).

Hey check both sides when measuring those close ones, sometimes one side will measure and the other will not due to thickness of the sides, so always worth a try. Made a difference in tournaments with bass on several occasions. I'm in Southwest Louisiana, so walleye are definitely foreign LOL!!! Cool to watch fishing and seeing the boat in action.

I fish a jig with a worm and drift dont use trolling motor much. Try to stay in 15 foot water. Haven't caught any in years. One thing I did on my boat is marked out ten fifteen eighteen inches with a sharpie on the deck to check fish lengths

Josh, I used to live in Missouri, recently moved to Minnesota a couple years ago. Walleye is something you hardly hear of down south, only a few people target them. Up here, it’s all you target haha. Anyways, I’ve become to angle a few old pesky walleye. Lately I’ve been catching the crap out of them on a Kalens search bait. Use your live scope and cast and pitch to them with a worm or leech attached, it’s deadly. Glad to see spinners and cranks are working for ya. If you ever want to head north, shoot me a message.

I had mine 3.5” waterfowl model since opening weekend of 2019. SXP failed me for the last time and traded it off (and two other rifles) to scrape up the cash for the SX4. I love it. It’s been a grouse, duck, goose and turkey killing machine since and have zero reasons to buy another shotgun. Maybe a second SX4. I really like the pattern master goose for all ranges and 3.5” 2s. The only time it failed me was after it went for a swim in 10 degree weather. Firing pin frozen up. A little solvent and she was running again and was able to finish out the limit for the day. The camo isn’t wearing much for the abuse. They are the best shotgun in its price class and above in my opinion.

Pedigree. Its so worth the extra $$ if you want a dog thats super trainable

Great vid! I know it’s hard but don’t set the hook when trolling for walleye (not like Bass fishing). You will pull the hook out, almost every time. You may want to also get an 8’-8’.6” rod with a parabolic tip (the last 3rd of the rod is really flexible and the walleye doesn’t know it is hooked until it is too late). Just a couple of tips from a guy chasing eyes for 30 years. 🇨🇦

Good show. Detroit river walleye fisher here. If you get a chance you have to hit it once in your life during the spring run. Limits in 20 minutes and catch them all day for fun. Some big ol sows too.

I prefer a 1/16 over 1/8 for scoping crappie. Only go to 1/8 if wind really blowing. Wally marshall rod and lews reel 4 or 6 lb fluoro. Favorite grub is bobby garland baby shad in bluegrass, mayfly, and monkey milk.
